Since then, accounting processes have developed and taken their modern form. Today, professionals are less focused on basic questions like “What is accounting?” or “How did it develop?” and more interested in topics such as automation and the use of artificial intelligence in accounting.

Most of us work and receive salaries. The concept of accounting is familiar to us mainly from our workplace or from people around us who work. However, it is important to understand that accounting is not only about payroll. It also includes tracking the inflow and outflow of a company’s funds. All business transactions are recorded here – assets, liabilities, and loans are all part of accounting.
Accounting is a wider concept. It first appeared as a practical activity and later developed into a scientific discipline. From the early “natural accounting” stage, it has now entered a modern phase supported by technology. However, no matter how advanced a field becomes, its origins and development always remain a focus of interest for researchers and professionals. Today, questions like “What is accounting?” and “How does it work?” are accompanied by new ones such as “What is cloud accounting?”, “Will new technologies replace accountants?”, and “How is automated accounting implemented?”
