On October 17, 2026, a training session on business cards was held for Unibank employees. Ramin Ramazanov, Founder and Managing Partner of Accounting.Az, Visa’s accounting and tax advisory partner in Azerbaijan, delivered a presentation at the event.
Organized in cooperation with Visa, the training focused on the benefits of business cards for companies and how they can be used in everyday business operations. The session also covered accounting and tax considerations related to business card transactions.
During his presentation, Ramin Ramazanov shared real-life examples from Accounting.Az’s experience working with clients, highlighting how business cards can help companies manage their daily financial activities more efficiently.
Key topics included access to cash on non-working days, timely customs payments, urgent purchases of spare parts and equipment, the use of business cards by employees, and payments to international advertising platforms.
Alongside the practical benefits of business cards, the training emphasized the importance of proper transaction documentation. It was explained that making a payment with a business card does not automatically mean the expense is deductible for tax purposes. The nature of the transaction and the relevant supporting documents must also be taken into account.
Another important topic was cooperation between banks and accountants.
Ramin Ramazanov noted that accountants play an active role in companies’ daily banking operations. Closer cooperation between banks and accounting professionals could therefore encourage wider and more effective use of business cards.
Through practical examples based on Accounting.Az’s experience, the session demonstrated that business cards are more than just a payment method. They are also a useful financial tool that can simplify everyday business operations.
