Accounting.Az took part in the Karabakh Strategic Reconstruction Mission (AUC 2026 | WUF13), organized with the involvement of the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan), bringing together companies and professionals interested in the future development of the Karabakh region.

Over the course of two days, participants visited several cities and districts including Zangilan, Lachin, Shusha, Khankendi, and Aghdam. The mission provided an opportunity to observe ongoing reconstruction projects, infrastructure development, industrial investments, and tourism initiatives shaping the region’s future.

One of the key highlights of the visit was the smart villages of Aghali and Mammadbayli developed by AS Group / AS Inshaat. These projects demonstrate how modern technologies and sustainable planning are being integrated into regional development. Participants also explored important restoration and cultural heritage projects implemented by PMD Projects LLC, including Lachin Mosque, Shusha Mosque, and the Aghdam Imarat Complex. These projects reflect not only reconstruction efforts but also the preservation of the region’s historical and cultural identity.

During the mission, visits were also made to Zerti Agro Park Lachin and Aghdam Industrial Park, where new investments in agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and industry are already contributing to economic activity and job creation in the region. The scale of infrastructure development was further highlighted through projects carried out by Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), which continue to play an important role in improving connectivity and supporting long-term economic growth.

In addition to industrial and infrastructure projects, the mission also showcased the tourism and hospitality potential of Karabakh. Visits to Lachin Resort & Spa and Hilton Garden Inn Aghdam provided insight into the growing tourism opportunities and the efforts being made to welcome both local and international visitors to the region.

The mission highlighted the scale and long-term potential of the reconstruction process currently taking place across Karabakh, reflecting a broader vision focused on economic development, sustainability, connectivity, and investment.
